#15: It's Fall, Ya'll.

Diane and Steve here, blogging together (hey, that works out well with our blog name). Fall is such a great time of year. We love it for the colorful leaves, amazing pumpkin flavored treats, and of course, college football. Here are some of our most recent adventures.

Steve's company sponsored a charity race for children's cancer research. They raised over $20,000! My mom was visiting for the weekend and came to race with us. We had a great day.

We earned money for every mile we completed. Steve and his boss completed their 10th mile together. It was quite an accomplishment. Also, high five for awesome socks!

We went to the Utah State Fair. Our friend Judd competes each year in a horse show.
This was in the barn after he won first place.

At the State Fair, we saw a one-man band.
Uh-oh...with Steve in the picture, does that make it a two-man band?

We went to the Leonardo Museum in Salt Lake City.
We were going to leave when my mom insisted we play with legos first.

My good friend Char visited us from Vegas.
We tried out the new snow cone shack by our house. These are the "medium" size.

I have been very busy this fall opening a brand-new middle school.
I love the new facilities, but it sure took a lot of time to set-up my new classroom.
Here is my principal at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Our friends adopted a baby girl in August. She is adorable!
We had the baby shower at our house.

I was out on a morning walk when our neighbor's kids decided to join me.

I LOVE to decorate and cook in the fall, and Steve loves to eat everything I cook.

 Peach canning time!
We bottled 30 jars, froze a bunch, and had some left over that we gave to our neighbors.

These baskets represent about 1/3 of the peaches from our tree.

We went to the James Taylor concert with the Mormon Tabernacle Choic at the LDS Conference Center. I loved it so much when he started the show with "Carolina in My Mind".

One of Steve's best friends, Jake, got married last month to his adorable wife, Rachel.
Here are many of Steve's high school friends (known as "The Brain Trust") and their spouses.

At the wedding, Steve hit it off with Rachel's cousin Trevor.
Since it was also Trevor's birthday, we got him a Batman shirt. He was so excited!

Sunday night game party playing "Telestrations" with our neighbors the Tuckers and Powells.

Speaking of games, we have been playing a lot of Ticket to Ride lately.
Here I am with Steve's mom. My blue route is looking pretty darn good!

Steve's niece got baptized last month. It was a wonderful event.
Steve sang a solo of her favorite Primary song "I Like to Look for Rainbows".

After the baptism we went with Steve's family to Leatherby's for ice cream.

Steve's grandma impressed us all with her ability to tie a knot out of her cherry stem, using only her tongue.

Steve loves going on scouting trips with the boys.
When you turn on a movie in the car, they all suddenly become much more quiet.

I recently got glasses for the first time. Steve says I look "hot and nerdy".

Indoor mini-golf with Mike and Hailey.
Mike, Hailey, and I all tied for first place. Steve, um, didn't. :)

Our friend Michelle visited from Atlanta. It was so great to see her!
She helped me remove the foil from my hair after I got it colored.

We love the annual Utah/BYU football game.
Even though we are rivals, we had a great time with our long-time friends, Bob and Mary Ann.
We are so proud of our Utes--four wins in a row!

Sometimes Steve gets bored at restaurants. This was one of those times.
But at least his napkin ghost was appropriate for October.

Ben and Sarah came from Colorado for General Conference. We took kids out for doughnuts before the Saturday morning session. Our niece looks super cute in her princess dress and crown.

Yesterday we went to the amazing farmer's market at Gardner Village. We got some delicious "Mean Green" juice. Sooooo yummy, and sooooo fall!
